Crimping Solutions
Global Technology Partners
C & S Technologies is a leading supplier of quality and process monitoring systems to wire harness and connector manufacturers. C&S have over two decades of experience supplying various PC, PLC and micro controller based sensor systems to monitor many processes found in wire harness and connector manufacturing factories. Our solutions help customers reduce defects and improve quality. With our global partners we support customers in many countries around the world.
Crimp Force Monitors
The reliability of automobiles, home appliances, medical devices, airplanes, missile defense systems, satellites, etc. all depend on reliable wire harnesses, more specifically good crimps. Crimp Force Monitors (CFM's) have been employed in most crimping departments to provide 100% on-line inspection of crimps for over 20 years.

Pull Testers
Crimp process setup validation in most wire harness factories requires a pull test. The insulation crimp wings are opened. The wire is pulled from the terminal until failure. The peak force is displayed. A minimum pull force requirement must be met depending on the wire size. Low pull force can be an indicator of under compressed crimps.
Kits are available for pulling seals, pulling ultrasonic splices and calibrating wire tie guns.
Crimp Cross Section
Cross section pictures are fast becoming a requirement for setup validation. The ECS 3000 pictured is designed to meet these requirements. Sample making time with report in under 3 minutes. Picture history of all setups readily available. Current setup pictures are compared to stored master images.
A range of Cross Section Systems designed for small to large wires, ultrasonic welds and terminal bend angle.
Manual Press Networking
MPN 100 is a comprehensive network system designed for manual crimp presses. All your manual presses are connected wirelessly to a server PC. The server PC has a database with all the relevant data for each circuit like terminal part numbers, crimp heights, pull test values, wire part number, applicator ID, seal part number, etc. At setup time a barcode scanner is used to scan worker ID, wire part number, terminal part number, applicator ID. A complete setup validation is required including visual parameters, crimp height measurements and pull test. Any and all data related to the daily production is captured and stored.
Automatic Machine Network
RTMS is a powerful networking system for automatic wire processing machines. Ultimately it provides a very hard control over the crimp process including materials verification, setup validation, production data collection, work order scheduling, tool life monitoring, maintenance scheduling, etc.
Supervisors can see in real time which machines are not on target to meet the production goal.
Do you need an interim solution for your operation? Perhaps the requirements for enhanced crimp validation is in place but a phased in approach is needed. Look no further than Crimp Quality Solutions for critical validation processes delivered to your facility.
